Marlies Schweyer ist eine in Leipzig ansässige Künstlerin, deren Arbeit sich durch die Gegenüberstellung von Symbolen auszeichnet.

As a painter I am interested in exploring the world, that only exists, when you're willing to leave everything behind, you think you know. Painting tells you all the little secrets hidden between the lines. Painting tells you the truth.
It all starts with a question that you hope to find an answer to, but instead it may just lead you to a place with a different and perhaps a better view. This is what life and art have in common.
